FSV Kappelrodeck-Waldulm I – FV Ötigheim I 0:1 (0:0, Bezirksliga Baden-Baden)
Das Verfolgerduell der beiden Teams stand ganz im Zeichen von vielen Ausfällen sowohl beim FSV als auch bei den Gästen aus Ötigheim. So fehlte bei den Kapplern die gesamte Sturmformation des letzten Spiels, aber auch der Gegner vermisste mit Dürrschnabel und Ganster seinen Paradesturm. Außerdem war bei den Einheimischen sogar Neutrainer Stefan Schneider krankheitsbedingt außer Gefecht. Marco Arndt von der sportlichen Leitung musste notgedrungen dessen Part übernehmen.
Diese vielen Nebengeräusche merkte man der Partie an. Die Offensivabteilungen standen deutlich im Hintergrund, das Spielgeschehen fand vor allen Dingen im Mittelfeld statt, die großen Torchancen blieben weitgehend aus. Das, was beiderseits aufs Tor kam, ging entweder vorbei oder stellte die Keeper nicht gerade vor unlösbare Aufgaben. Lediglich in der 5. Minute hatten die Ötigheimer eine Gelegenheit der etwas besseren Art und in der 40. Minute konnte Kappels Kevin Köninger mit einem Distanzschuss für Gefahr vor dem Gästegehäuse sorgen. Ansonsten standen die Abwehrreihen auf beiden Seiten im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens. Technisch anspruchsvoller Fußball war an diesem Nachmittag Mangelware, die Kampfbereitschaft und das Zweikampfverhalten standen absolut im Vordergrund.
Dies änderte sich auch in der zweiten Halbzeit wenig, wenngleich der FSV nun, was Spielanteile anbetraf, sogar deutlich im Vorteil war. Die Gäste zogen sich erstaunlicherweise recht tief in ihre Hälfte zurück und zeigten kaum noch nennenswerte Angriffsbemühungen. Dies rief Ötigheims Trainer Brandenburg an der Außenlinie auf den Plan, indem er seine Mannschaft lautstark aufforderte, wieder aktiver zu werden und mehr für die Offensive zu tun. Bezeichnend dafür war, dass Ötigheim im Prinzip erst in der 70. Minute mal wieder eine Torchance herbeiführen konnte. Aber auch der FSV konnte aus der Feldüberlegenheit der ersten halben Stunde in Abschnitt zwei keinen Vorteil für sich ziehen. Distanzschüsse von Mike Lepold und Andy Müller verpufften wirkungslos. Als sich beide Teams inclusive Zuschauer schon mit einem Unentschieden in diesem Verfolgerduell abfanden, fiel in der 86. Minute wie aus heiterem Himmel der kaum mehr erwartete Siegtreffer für die Gäste. Ein Eckball segelte über Freund und Feind hinweg ans lange Eck des Kappler Gehäuses, wo Robin Riedinger sträflich frei stand und wenig Mühe hatte, den Ball ins Netz zu befördern.
Durch diese Niederlage rutschte der FSV innerhalb eines Spieltages vom dritten auf den siebten Tabellenplatz zurück, allerdings muss erwähnt werden, dass zwischen Rang zwei und acht nur drei Punkte liegen, so dass man sich mit einem Sieg im kommenden Derby gegen Unzhurst genauso schnell wieder nach oben katapultieren kann.
Die Reserve der Kappler ist weiterhin im Aufwind und konnte ihren Gegner mit 4:2 bezwingen. Für den FSV waren Raphael Spinner und Ahmet Simsek je zweimal erfolgreich.
